Ingredients:

1/2 kg meat

1 kg onions (chopped)

1 cup yoghurt

1/2 cup oil

3 to 4 cloves garlic

1 inch piece ginger

1 tablespoon white cumin

1 teaspoon dried coriander

5 black peppercorns

5 Red whole chillis (or more if required)

3 to 4 cloves

1 big elachi

1 inch piece of cinnamon

Salt to taste

Method:

Mix together all the above stated spices. Add the meat and mix further. Take another bowl, add the yoghurt and oil, and blend them well. Then add the spiced meat. Make sure it is well coated with the yoghurt. Refrigerate overnight. In the morning take a heavy based pan, and put in the chopped onions. Add the meat and cook on low flame, adding a little water after 15 to 20 minutes. Cook for at least two hours or until the meat and onions are done. Garnish with fresh coriander.
